Parent Notification of Absence is part of the Mass Notification option.
Absence notifications can be sent as an automated voice call (or email) to parents who do not have the school app. The Caller ID can be set to the school's phone number so that parents can easily reply or return a missed call. SMS text messaging is also an option, although a consent step is required.
Parents can opt in to an app push notification, or SMS text message. This may allow them to be more effectively notified during the work day and to potentially take action sooner to ensure their child's attendance.
